REPORTS TO: HR Manager – Human Resources
SHIFT: Open to flexible schedule (20 – 40 hours a week)
Ensure our company strategies are attained and our business needs are supported through consistent attraction and retention of outstanding talent. Provide HR support for a high-volume DC workforce whom facilitate the processing and distribution of merchandise in a cost effective, safe and customer service oriented manner for fulfillment to 81 countries globally. Execute people and culture initiatives to enable company and distribution center goals; specifically, manage internal and external talent acquisition as well as other generalist duties. Additionally, act as the distribution center’s first contact for the general public while representing the corporate culture and brand.
Responsibilities:

• Maximize the first impression in order to promote the AE culture and take the first step in retention of associates
• Assist in the development and ongoing onboarding initiative
• Oversee and maintain in partnership with IT department DC Kiosks; application process, Kronos/ADP/Nest
• Assist the Ottawa HR department in carrying out recruitment efforts, onboarding and HR programs
• Greet applicants and pre-screen potential candidates
• Facilitate DC tours as needed
• Work with operations team to schedule onsite interviews
• Process background/drug screen testing
• Assist HRBP with creating and extending offers
• Prepare New Hire paperwork – reviewing, tracking, forwarding to payroll and benefit departments
• Prepare orientation and benefit packs and facilitate orientations
• Own, manage and maintain the success of the Boomerang Program
• Organize and host quarterly career fairs
• Assist in the development and execution of HR departments overall goals
• Maintain and oversee the interest to move process and communicate necessary changes
• Assist HR department with administrative functions:
• Maintain, organize and prepare HR general files, department files and Associate files
• Maintain confidentiality of associate personal information
• Assist DC associates with questions regarding policies, benefits, payroll
Qualifications:
• Associates Degree is required but the ideal candidate will have an Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Public Relations or a related field
• 2+ years of previous human resources or related experience is required
• Open to a flexible work schedule to meet needs of daylight, evening, and weekend shifts
• Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
• Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment, with critical attention to detail
• High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Excel, Outlook, and other internet applications
