JOB SUMMARY
The Associate Producer over email for Athleta.com, manages the development and execution of daily marketing campaigns. The Associate Producer must be able to independently lead the full life cycle of a marketing email from supporting pre-kickoff planning to partnering with cross-functional partners to oversee creative reviews and QA to ensure successful delivery. They must be able to understand the latest technical capabilities of email but also for site to provide and recommend a best in class customer experience. The Associate Producer is responsible for ensuring daily marketing campaigns are launched on time, meet briefed objectives and keeps the team and leadership abreast of progress and risks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Manage the production schedule, activities and deliverables related to all marketing campaigns in partnership with the Email Producer.
● Works with cross-functional partners to meet deadlines to deliver content to the email service provider and other external vendors on a day to day basis (create and submit CCTs and assets to ESP & 3rd party vendors).
● Drive review and final sign-off of email creative by assisting in leading key meetings owned by Production, recording feedback and action items and communicating recap to owners for follow-up and completion.
● Partners with Email Producer to build email campaigns using 3rd party tool and delivers embed code to ESP in a timely manner; when needed partners with 3rd party vendor to troubleshoot issues with email build.
● Manage QA and approval process across multiple functions (Marketing, Creative, Merchandising) to ensure feedback is delivered on time to ESP and campaigns launch with best customer experience.
● Partners with Email Producer and central teams to ensure that segmentation strategies and personalized content are clear to ESP and delivered effectively. In addition, confirms during QA rounds that those strategies and content are implemented correctly.
● Responds quickly to change in scope or schedule, providing guidance to functional areas on both technical impacts and timelines. Demonstrates perspective & ability to foresee issues.
● Assesses resources and capacity when making decisions on feasibility, support, risk etc.
● Ensures project is launched on time and keeps management and cross-functional partners notified of progress and/or deviation from project schedule.
● Understand business goals and requirements for all email campaigns.
● Use experience to achieve process efficiencies and partner with Email Producer to develop and roll out.
● Support Email Producer with special projects (including testing and Friends & Family).
KEY EXPERIENCES
Knowledge, skills & abilities:
● Ability to coordinate activities among cross-functional, cross-branded teams. Act as a liaison between business and technical resources and 3rd party vendors.
● Highly process-oriented with superior skills in defining operational processes.
● Ability to project manage multiple projects and campaigns at the same time.
● Proven track record of being able to work cross functionally & being detail-oriented.
● Excellent oral/written communication, analytical and interpersonal skills to effectively work with all levels within the organization.
● Self-motivated and driven. Ability to work well independently and within a group setting.
Minimum experience:
● 2-3 years of detailed task planning and execution experience
● Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
● Retail e-commerce experience a plus
