Responsible leading Shoes and Accessories team on daily priorities and key initiatives. Responsible for managing, maintaining, and growing business by understanding the product and each individual store to sell-in the optimal assortment. A strong knowledge of retail math is required. Account responsibility includes both Major, Specialty and online accounts. This position requires participation in frequent product meetings in Coldrerio, Switzerland.
Key responsibilities:
• Partner with Sales Director and sales team on a daily / weekly basis on sales results and priorities
• Daily communication with Major Accounts to review business and build partnership
• Organize and conduct Pre-Marketing meetings with all Majors to review budgets and opportunities
• Work with account base in market to ensure strong merchandise assortment
• Monitor and work with Team to ensure that all accounts adhere to seasonal markdown cadences
• Ship account base on-order to meet monthly shipping goals
• Monitor Department Store Inventory to maximize profitability
• Train in-store selling staff of merchandise features, quality, fashion trends, and Hugo Boss direction.
• Monitor account base selling, track weekly selling, door selling, seasonal turn, and seasonal margin.
• Initiate monthly/seasonal strategies to drive full price sales in stores
• Manage account profitability monthly to minimize end of season liability
• Set up the showroom for market
• Enter pre-orders into SAP system for current selling season
• Ensure all orders are booked complete; managing all sell outs and substitutions
• Work with Sales team to enter Risk Buys at the beginning of the season to secure timely deliveries
• Fix all EDI related issues for assigned account base
• Release all orders for delivery
• Monitor customer websites on a weekly basis to review presentation and opportunities
• Analyzing Division KAM report results- Internal profitability by account
• Responsible for monitoring monthly shipping plan and projections for department
• Schedule market appointments to showcase and sell the line in the showroom
• Weekly visits to NY stores, and Monthly store visits to tri-state area locations to merchandise store floor and fill in product.
• Support team for all store events and conclaves
• Continually shop the market to identify current and emerging competitors and communicate this feedback to Sales Director
• Participation in merchandising and sales trips to Switzerland and Germany
• Assist in selling and in store support to Nordstrom Canada
• Sell and monitor selling for Hugo Boss DOS
• Partner with Marketing on all initiatives to support seasonal business for respective Majors. Collaborate with Marketing teams to negotiate ad’s, windows, digital opportunities, mailers, etc.
• Track results for all Specialists / Salary Support
• Responsible for all product communication with the Brand Team including end of season reports
• Partner with Sales Director on all internal planning functions and strategies
• Lead Team on all Division initiatives
• Approve weekly time cards for Assistants in Division
Required qualifications:
• BS College Degree (preferably in Business or Fashion Merchandising)
• 5 +years of proven wholesale experience in Men’s/Women’s Shoes and Accessories
• Keen understanding of the department store business and how to analyze the business with “retail math” (ie., VMT reports, sell through, on-hands, inventory, and margin)
• Must have general knowledge of key independents in each territory
• Excellent speaking / presentation skills
• Excellent computer skills with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel
