POSITION SUMMARY
The Key Account Sales Analyst is a member of our account management team that services a key Department Store partner based in New York City.
The primary responsibility of the Sales Analyst is to track, forecast and manage the day to day metrics required to run a department store account. This process includes maintaining and validating data collection, and analyzing retail performance to develop strong conclusions about business trends and opportunities. The Sales Analyst is responsible for sharing cross-divisional recaps of Key Account retail results to Senior Leadership teams, Sales teams, Merchandising/Product teams, Finance teams, and others. Necessary qualities of a Key Account Sales Analyst include strong retail metric understanding, fundamental curiosity of data trends, knowledge of the competitive landscape and innovative analysis to validate business opportunities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintain development and analysis of retail sales data on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, seasonal and annual basis to fit the needs of the business.
• Publish wholesale reporting to support sell-in, shipments, seasonal forecasting, and additional business opportunities.
• Develop periodical leadership-facing retail and wholesale sales recaps to communicate various levels of the state-of-business across organization.
• Collaborate with Key Account Sales Manager and Account Managers to develop innovative and ad hoc analysis to support account business.
• Seasonal product data development and digital content creation for key account to support sales programs and operations.
• Collaborate with sales managers and key account partners to identify product trends and lifecycles.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
• 3+ years of professional experience as a planner, analyst or buyer in department store industry.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Advanced understanding of Excel, Pivot Tables, etc.
• Strong analytical reasoning
• Validation of sales data
• Understanding of Retail processes including seasonal floor sets and markdowns
• Light business travel may be required (15%)
