Description
Global Brand Imaging, the newest creative team within Nike’s Global Brand Experience is seeking a creative and experienced Lead Video Editor to join their growing team. The position will provide daily supervision, coaching, and support for GBI video editors in the photo studio.The ideal candidate will have experience working in a high volume, deadline driven environment and support the Video Director in planning, coordination, and tracking of all video production.
• Under the guidance of the Post-Production Director and Video Director, track progress of tasks and deliverables for video products
• Coordinate the team of editors to craft the most efficient production and delivery
• Ability to supervise and train new team members in the GBI Video workflow.
• Responsible to discover, gather, record and effectively communicate video project requirements between internal customers, vendors, and studio teams.
• Maintain production tracking and delivery system
• Communicate any schedule changes to appropriate leads as needed.
• Maintain quality control and enforce correct file and Meta data conventions.
• Edits raw footage to support video production as needed.
• Trim footage segments and build sequence of film- ensure logical sequence in accordance with storyboards and scripts
• Create rough and final cuts as needed
• Consult with studio stakeholders from production to post-production processes
• Must be well-versed in color grading, audio mixing and creating basic support graphics.
• Collaborate with Video Director and Videographers to identify solutions to achieve business objectives
• Keep up to date with latest editing tools, software, and updates (Premiere Pro, After Effects, new video codecs etc.)
Qualifications
• 3-5 years relevant experience editing in Adobe Premiere Pro & After Effects
• Experience creating emotionally compelling narrative video
• Desire to work for a mission driven company
• Extremely creative, organized and dedicated to creating best-in-class videos
• Able to provide constructive oversight and exchange feedback with a close-knit team
• Deep understanding of the Nike brand and a drive to excel at the kind of storytelling that resonates emotionally with the Nike customer
• Motivates team members and shows a willingness to help out peers when needed.
