Web Designer eCommerce - Dockers
Job purpose
As one of the fastest-changing industries around, fashion Ecommerce calls for innovative and collaborative creative talent. The Lead Dockers Ecommerce Designer is responsible for creating a site and email experience that is industry leading. This role will help concept, design and create digital assets for Dockers.com. These assets encompass video and imagery and require a strong eye for detail while helping to concept the big picture.
Duties and responsibilities
• Concept and create design assets for brand site pages, mobile and email
• Modify creative design assets throughout entire life cycle from conceptualization to delivery of final product with approval from the internal partners
• Works with eComm Product Management group to update the design and development of mock-ups for website enhancements. Assist the UX team to turn wireframes into User Interface designs that utilize up-to-date and relevant UI.
• Work closely with brand and merchants to support product launches, seasonal marketing efforts, display marketing banner campaigns.
• Have a deep understanding of innovative trends in digital design and usability and apply interactive principles with HTML, CSS, and core web technologies.
• Applies industry best practices and established brand style guides to well-defined assignments
Requirements:
• Associates or Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media Design, or Visual Communications
• 3-5 years of related experience
• At least 2 years specific web design experience. A professional portfolio and a proven track record in concept development/layout, project development, and project execution.
• Additional Requirements:
• Expert with Adobe Creative Suite
• Ability to work on Mac or PC
• Project Management Software (Basecamp, JIRA, etc.)
• Understanding of UX and UI Best Practices
• UX design tools (Sketch, InVision, Principle)
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and relevant languages
• Effectively communicate message to customer through effective visual creations utilizing colors, fonts, product photos, model shots, and backgrounds.
• Must have the ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment. Must be a team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Understanding of web and email development
Qualifications
• BFA or BA in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Visual Studies or other design-related field preferred.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in web design and/or digital marketing.
• Strong graphic design, layout, typography, image manipulation, and color correction skills.
• Extremely proficient in Adobe Suite programs especially Photoshop and Illustrator, as well as prototyping tools such as Principle and Invision.
• Working knowledge of HTML and email client quirks.
• Detail-oriented, well organized and able to thrive in deadline-driven environment.
• Familiarity with marketing operations and metrics.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Must be flexible in job duties and take on added responsibility when necessary.
• Portfolio or work samples required.
