BUSINESS/LOCATION:
New York & Company Headquarters, NYC
OVERVIEW:
The Visual Merchandising Coordinator plays a vital role in all visual merchandising communications and operations. This individual must be able to multitask various priorities while also being flexible to changes in business. Experience in communicating seasonal concepts through visual presentation in order to achieve brand consistency across all channels is needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist in the documentation and creation of floorset directives for both chain and outlet stores.
• Support in photographing company floorset stores in order to communicate seasonal concepts to the field organization.
• Coordinate and compile information from Marketing, Merchants, and Planning in order to execute visual directives.
• Communicate merchandise placement changes, new receipt placement, as well as window and marketing strategies to the field organization on a weekly basis.
• Partner with Store Communications to ensure that all visual directives are easily understood by the field organization, while meeting time expectations and reinforcing brand standards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, and Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of Camera Raw a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Critical eye for details while remaining organized and deadline-oriented.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
• 1-3 years experience in visual merchandising.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience
