Responsibilities
The Retail Marketing Coordinator is responsible for providing day-to-day support to the North America Brand Strategy team. This role reports directly to the Specialty Retail Marketing Manager however provides logistical support across all North America Brand Strategy initiatives. The ideal candidate should demonstrate capability for effectively navigating a matrixed organization, positively and proactively collaborating, consolidating various inputs, effectively communicating, and following through with a variety of departments.
The Coordinator will be a critical member of the marketing team and will support the Marketing Managers for initiatives including, but not limited to:
• Store collateral and signage: Devising and executing monthly print collateral and signage for selling and seasonal event needs. Entails close partnership with Creative, Visual, Merchandising, Stores and Store Operations. Coordinator support can include owning new sign requests, from briefing to routing to distribution to stores. Requests can be for specific offers and special events, as well as supplementing the larger ‘sign library.’
• Store emails: Liaising with Buying and Creative on seasonal kickoffs and coordinating supplemental briefs, routes and tracking. Necessitates close partnership with the Creative Production Management team.
• Seasonal brand/marketing-led store events: Developing, producing, implementing and tracking the marketing-led special store events across our fleet and at key doors for both quarterly and monthly occasions.
• Store communications: Composing memos that communicate key marketing-led events, promotions and initiatives to our field teams. Entails liaising with Store Operations as well as partnerships with the Learning & Development and Store Regional Director teams.
• Coordination with mall partners: Planning for, publishing, and tracking the weekly and monthly event and promotional marketing with our mall partners.
• Special initiatives: Gather the necessary details to fulfill marketing and partner campaigns inclusive of making tracking codes, generating Terms & Conditions, and creating communications to store partners.
The Coordinator will additionally be directly responsible for:
• Distribution Lists: Map store collateral and signage quantities across doors.
• Mall Postings: Develop and post special offers/marketing events to mall partner sites.
• New Store Opening Programs: Attend weekly NSO calls, ensure NSOs are prepared to receive all current marketing collateral + own the briefing/coordination of NSO emails, special offers and mall placements. Necessitates critical liaising with Store Operations.
• Critical assistance with the Marketing Strategy team’s:
◦ Collateral closet: ensuring samples are organized and up-to-date.
◦ Seasonal tracking/recaps: collecting creative examples for tracking and reporting needs.
◦ Support with expenses when needed (coding, processing and tracking).
◦ Assistance with special cross-functional projects, presentations and task forces.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related discipline
• Previous marketing experience in a luxury goods or comparable retail or creative environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills with attention to detail
• Strong time management skills – able to manage priorities and work under tight deadlines
• Highly collaborative individual comfortable with decision making in a fast paced and entrepreneurial environment
• Proactive and team oriented
• Works well both as part of a team and independently
• Professional demeanor, forward thinker and proactive approach
• Strong problem solving skills
• Strong understanding of brand aesthetics and market place
• Skilled with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
