Mission/Role
Support the distribution center operations to support customer order fulfillment for all channels of the Cole Haan business. Coordinate and train all full time and temporary associates to perform all Receiving functions.
Core Accountabilities
Evaluate work load and staffing needs to meet daily workload requirements. Assist with Inbound manager in creating daily work plan. This includes prioritizing receipts and maintaining an even workflow. Track and communicate availability of inbound receipts. Set short-term, intermediate, and long-term plans for Inbound, working with Customer Service and Distribution management to balance inbound receipts versus variable such as resources, receipt priorities, and other constraints.
Monitor DC Operating Capacity across all Product categories versus incoming receipts. Plan and communicate capacity issues. Assist in planning and remedies for Capacity issues to minimize impact.
Responsible for developing and supplying all daily/weekly reports to Distribution and Customer Service management. Maintain daily metrics.
Provide process leadership by supporting the business plan and working to synchronize department efforts. Maintain an intuitive view of the business and work to anticipate and facilitate change as required. Build and maintain an interdependent relationship with peers and all functional areas within the facility.
Provide support to all warehouse functional areas when needed.
Requirements
• Possess High School diploma or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of distribution and/or warehouse operations.
• Problem solving skills including prioritization and initiation of tasks.
• Attention to and awareness of ergonomic issues in the workplace.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
• Demonstrated proficient oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
• Demonstrated knowledge of MARC, SAP, and Excel.
• Ability to drive warehouse equipment required.
• Computer skills: MS Word, Windows, Excel ,SAP and WMS.
May be required to perform a wide variety of physical tasks which are generally basic, repetitive, and routine in nature. May be required to sit or stand for long periods of time, in addition to being required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, push, or pull. May be frequently required to reach with hands and arms, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel small and medium sized components while operating machinery and exerting force or lift up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects..
May be called upon to perform physical and quality checks requiring sufficient visual acuity to identify quality flaws and distinguish colors on small components.
