Job Description
The Digital Merchandise Assistant supports the digital business’ day to day performance and merchandising to deliver sales and gross margin objectives. This role mainly handles the digital operational cross function tasks of the item’s lifecycle.
• Daily QA site monitoring to ensure product is on site and properly represented and to identify QA issues; work with Distribution Center, Merch Ops, Studio and/or vendor representatives to resolve.
• Monitor digital PO deadlines for group (Manage the PO tracker for the area)
• Keep the buying teams on schedule to PO upload for the item life cycle (Pubs on time, Uploads on time, etc)
• Manage the Not-On-Site report with reviews of times and follow up
• Manage and work with cross functional teams to resolve QC Defects
• Monitor pre-order & launch dates relative to competitors (collect launch dates from vendors; communicate to appropriate teams)
• Maintain shop the look file (update the style list)
• Support studio team in managing and resolving sample and photography issues
• Ensure timely Pubs for styles featured on Saks.com
• Update inventory tracker
• Send out weekly comps emails
• Create & update editorial tracking sheets
• Manage the Cancel Risk Report (Digital MA’s to Run the report
• Ensure that orders are cancelled in a timely manner
Qualifications
• University or college degree
• Previous experience in e-comm required
• Detail oriented
• Good organizational and clerical skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong computer skills - preferably MS Word and Excel
• Sense of urgency flexibility ability to multi-task
• Willingness to learn
• Demonstrate eagerness to learn and assume additional responsibility, enthusiastically develop new skills, seek out new and efficient ways to perform tasks.
• Ability to collaborate and/or drive digital operations of business with multiple departments and buyers.
