Executive Director, GVC Portfolio Management
Description
This role is responsible for supporting key Brands, Regions, and Functions in developing project governance and PMO capabilities, improving the project management effectiveness of GVC projects, and supporting master planning of GVC initiatives.
• Supporting key Brands, Regions, and Functions in developing project governance and PMO capabilities
• Establishing PMOs in selected businesses across the Company, eg. selected Brands and Regions, and initially running these newly formed PMOs for a period of time prior to transitioning to a dedicated PMO lead
• Leading improvement of PMO practices across the Company, eg. through the Community of Practice and coaching of PMO leads
• Supporting the GVC PMO with master planning of GVC initiatives and other Enterprise-wide initiatives, including schedule, risk, and resource analysis, and recommendations regarding the alignment, prioritization, and pacing of these initiatives
• Contributions to the improving the project management effectiveness of GVC projects, including developing/improving tools and templates, and coaching GVC project managers
• Contribution to the development and continuous improvement of ELC’s project management capabilities
Qualifications
• 10+ years of experience in Project Management, Strategy and/or Planning, including business case development and review return on investment
• Experience in successfully leading and delivering major cross-business projects
• Experience in successfully establishing and running a PMO
• A firm understanding and proven experience in the Consumer Goods Industry working in a creative marketing culture
• A solid understanding of core functions (eg. supply chain, finance, IS, HR) needed in a consumer goods, retail, or manufacturing type business
• Proven track record successfully working with senior business executives
• Excellent presentation and coaching skills
• Highly organized and planning oriented
• High proficiency in MS Office including MS Project, Powerpoint, and Excel
• Excellent fluency in the English language – both spoken and written
• Certified Project Management (PMP) or PRINCE/2 accredited or similar
• Internal candidates: ELC Foundation & Intermediate Courses in Project Management
• International experience outside of the Americas will be highly regarded
