Reporting Relationship: The Manager, Merchandising is a role within Owned Brands reporting to the Director, Merchandising, Men's.

Major Responsibilities
The Manager, Merchandising is responsible for liasing with the buyers and planners in the banner organizations. He/she will support abrand and/or category of business and help the buyers in purchasing from the portfolio of Owned Brands. The Manager will also act as the internal hub of information in the Owned Brands team – working with design, sourcing, and tech teams to develop the best product and value for our brands. He/she will also work with the merchants and design teams on product developed directly with domestic private label vendors, acting as the main point of contact for these vendors.
Role responsibilities include:
• Analysis of business and tracking selling in season.
• Liason with domestic vendors and provide order support and follow up and weekly selling reports.
• Manage retail pricing/mark up roll up and suggest changes to hit target mark up.
• Work with buying and planning to get projections for brands.
• Develop target landed costs to share with sourcing.
Qualifications
Professional Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years of experience in merchandising field.
• Buying or Planning experience preferable.
• Product Development and Design experience- must know product and fabric.
• Strong critical thinking and decision making skills, with an ability to think out of the box.
• Ability to collaborate influence and build relationships at all levels.
• Excellent excel and power point skills.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
• Positive, can-do attitude, willing to work as a team player to achieve goals.
• Focus on process development and improvement.
• Strong knowledge of and ability to apply retail math concepts.
Educational Credentials
Bachelor’s Degree is required, preferably in relevant discipline.
Travel
Office environment with less than 5% of travel within the United States.
