External Job Description
Manager, Social Media will help build and launch high-impact seasonal marketing campaigns, drive awareness and preference for our brand, lead day to day social media strategy and activities, while engaging with consumers and influencers. This role manages our social agencies to establish organic social media strategy and also identify and maintain editor relationships and vet and identify potential blogger and influencers for brand partnerships and activations. This role is also responsible for building strong relationships and process/pipeline across the organization around key programs and innovation strategies.
Social Media Strategy and Management:
• Oversee development of innovative, best in class social media strategies to amplify brand awareness, key product launches, brand cause, company history, culture and values, and other influential social moments with integrated digital strategies and tactics that drive new customer acquisition, increased brand loyalty and awareness, greater social relevance and influencer engagement
• Be a leader among cross functional teams to develop brand appropriate, social media campaigns taking into consideration key performance indicators and added value opportunities. Serve as the liaison between key internal partners to tailor social media and community strategies
• Partner with the CARE team leader to ensure we have brand-right, best in class resolution of Customer Service issues in social.
• Ensure social media content follows content calendar and guidelines, integrating with the Content and Creative teams
• Help lead crisis management efforts across our social channels with regard to potential risks, negative comments, or inaccurate information in the social media space. Ensure processes are optimized and communicated.
National Public and Influencer Relations:
• Manage fashion PR agency to pitch lookbooks and editorial stories, manage editor relationships and plan seasonal previews in NYC
• Manage partnership of freelance PR agency and internal media marketing team for Industry Media Campaigns
• Manage social/influencer agency to strategize social amplification and partner with brand-right influencers for key brand campaigns, marketing initiatives and the maurices Blog
• Negotiate and facilitate contracts for partnerships
• Resposible to manage project budgets, timelines, project contracts and executional details
• Integrate Brand PR and Influencer efforts with Social Media content and goals
• Support philanthropic partnerships and marketing executional details
Requirements
• Bachelors Degree in marketing, communications or a business related field.
• 5-7 years experience in marketing, social media, e-commerce, copywriting, public relations, partnerships, marketing, and advertising advantages (preferably in a retail environment).
• Strategic thinker who can identify key partnership and envision how they would benefit the brand.
• Strong collaboration skills to execute integrated partnerships and campaigns.
• Self directed, able to effectively manage through ambiguity.
• Understanding the importance of brand awareness to drive traffic and sales in all channels.
• Strong understanding of the e-com business and social media best practices.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent attention to detail. Able to create and manage complex timelines.
• Forward-looking with a holistic approach.
• Strong communication skills; verbal and written.
• Ability to negotiate and manage project budgets and contracts.
• Ability to problem solve and provide creative solutions.
• Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships within marketing and broader organization.
• Understand the target customer and the company vision and is able to communicate this both internally and externally.
• Passion and understanding of fashion and product knowledge/vocabulary. Interested in contemporary culture. Follows fashion trend and opinion
