Job Summary
L’Oréal USA Corporate Communications is looking for a highly motivated, creative, and organized communications intern to assist the internal communications team in our mission of developing an engaged and collaborative employee community. This role gains broad exposure to the entire corporate communications business, including internal and external communications, social media, content development, CSR and sustainability, public affairs and crisis management.
Key Job Responsibilities
Internship provides hands-on, design-intensive experience in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must be dependable and a self-starter with strong design, organization, problem solving, writing, and interpersonal skills. Must be accountable, enthusiastic, have a strong attention to detail, and a desire to contribute as part of an always-moving communications team with professionalism, a sense of humor, and proactive mindset.
Bring creativity, digital expertise, and visual coherence to all elements of the L’Oréal USA internal communication strategy
• Design digital visual communication assets for intranet homepage and articles, presentations, employee email blasts, and other internal campaigns, consistently adhering to internal corporate branding guidelines
Support content production for internal channels, including publishing to intranet and digital screens, writing articles, and compiling content for weekly newsletter
Maintain department’s administrative and organizational systems including master communications calendar, metrics reporting, team mailbox, etc.
Support planning and execution of key annual events including company town halls, speaker series, volunteer days, live streams, etc.
Provide light administrative support to AVP and department, including occasional calendar management and conference room booking
Qualifications/Requirements of the
12 -Month Internship Program:
L’Oréal USA has a unique program for recent graduates. It is a full-time paid internship for up to 12 months where you are a fully contributing member of our Corporate Communications team here at L’Oréal. You will receive the hands-on experience and training needed to set you up for future success in the company. To qualify for the program, you must be a recent graduate (within 12 months) from a four-year college.
• Communications or Graphic Design degree preferred
Strong graphic design, writing, and organizational skills required
Communication, project management, and analytics skills a plus
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office
Previous corporate internship/work experience required
