Overview
Foot Locker, Inc., the world's leading retailer of athletically inspired shoes and apparel, is seeking a Senior Analyst, Investor Relations. The Senior Analyst, Investor Relations provides support to all facets of Foot Locker investor relations activities, including sell-side conferences, non-deal road shows, and investor meetings and calls. This position will report to the Vice President, Treasurer and Investor Relations (VP, IR). The Senior Analyst, Investor Relations will have direct exposure and interaction with senior executives (from CEO down) and is expected to learn and be able to effectively communicate the company’s strategy, business model, financial outlook, and industry positioning, as well as the positioning of certain of our peers, customers, and competitors.

Responsibilities
• Provide financial and analytical support to the VP, IR and support all "ad hoc" analyses in support of the IR function.
• Assist the VP, IR with communications between the Company and the investment community, particularly sell-side equity analysts and investors. Assist in the planning, preparation, drafting and distribution of IR-related documents, including earnings and other material press releases, Q&A documents, talking points/scripts, quarterly and annual reports, and conference and Investor Day materials.
• Develop a thorough understanding of the Company by partnering with various functional areas within finance (accounting, FP&A) and division staff to understand drivers of financial performance and to understand the company's strategy, businesses, and competitive position.
• Manage the corporate press release process, including posting releases to wire services and other related/appropriate sites.
• Partner with corporate communications (internal and Public Relations) to ensure consistency in messaging.
• Manage the Investor Relations calendar, including setting up investor and analyst calls, earnings conference calls, investor conferences, non-deal roadshows and onsite meetings.
• Create, update, and maintain IR contact lists, database and financial binders.
• Create and update investor presentations.
• Monitor, assess, and communicate competitor and market information obtained from analyst reports and various media sources.
• Set up earnings (and other material) conference calls and web casts.
• Assist in the coordination of investor/analyst meetings, Investor Day, and investor conference participation.
• Manage IR subdomain of Foot Locker’s corporate website, including the creation and updating of content appropriate for the IR subdomain.
• Research and respond to investor inquiries and requests for information, as appropriate and directed by the VP, IR.
• Act as liaison between Investor Relations, proxy solicitor and legal department during proxy season.
• Prepare and monitor IR’s budget, including forecasting of IR-related expenditures.
• Cultivate strong relationships with internal associates, including Corporate Communications, Legal, Accounting, Corporate Development, Strategy and other key operating contacts, and external stakeholders, including investor relations vendors.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, or other related field
• 2 years of experience, with a demonstrated understanding of retail finance and a solid understanding of financial statements and metrics
• Strong communications skills, both written and oral, with poise to interact regularly with senior executives
• Experience in retail preferred
• Ability to drive multiple simultaneous projects to successful completion
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
• Ability to work within tight timeframes and meet strict deadlines
• Basic knowledge of SEC, NYSE, and other regulatory agency requirements
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel, advanced Microsoft PowerPoint, intermediate Microsoft Word
