Job Summary
The SalonCentric Merchandising Specialist is responsible for executing e-Commerce merchandising activities in DemandWare/SalesForce Commerce Cloud, the company’s selected e-Commerce platform.
Job Responsibilities
• Execute e-Commerce related activities as specified by the Merchandising Manager. Including, but not limited to:
• Product page & product category set-up/maintenance
• Monthly promotions set up & management
• Site navigation
• Reporting & analytics
• Ratings & reviews reports
• Site search terms & redirects
• Ensure products are set-up in appropriate categories with correct images, titles and descriptions.
• Relentlessly maintain high quality standards on merchandising of products in assigned categories
• QA existing items; copy, image & video update suggestions
• Request & track monthly assets from brand partners
• Partner with Merchandising Manager to develop marketing/promotions strategy seasonally, weekly, and monthly and to develop & execute curated assortments for assigned customer segments
• Leverage website analytics and merchandise reporting (e.g., top sellers, worst sellers, no search results, etc.) to understand a) Opportunities to improve conversion rate and drive revenue growth across assigned product categories and b) Customer interaction with categories, featured product placement, and general online shopping experiences
• Keep atop of market trends/competitors to ensure that SalonCentric.com is the destination of choice for the salon professional
Job Requirements
•1-3 years’ experience in various aspects of the e-commerce retail environment including content management, merchandising or marketing
• Ability to produce on-time quality deliverables in a deadline-driven environment while balancing multiple priorities
•Must have keen attention to detail with good copy proofing skills.
•Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams in a collaborative, teamwork environment.
• Ability to create relationships and work cross functionally
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
• Computer proficiency, especially Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
• Self-motivated and eager to succeed
• Bachelor’s Degree within Marketing, Merchandising or other related field or relevant industry experience preferred
• Experience with web technology platforms/working with a content management system to update pages
•Copy editing/writing experience
•Entry-level HTML knowledge
