Senior Designer, Visual Merchandising, Bumble and Bumble
Description
The primary role of the Senior Designer, Visual Merchandising is to work closely with the Visual Merchandising Director to develop and ensure that all Bumble and bumble retail, merchandising presentations are consistent and representative of the Bb. image throughout all environments including: our own Bb. Salons and retail areas, Bb. Network Salons, Retail Stores both Domestic and International.
•Work with team to interpret Bb. campaigns and launches, events, and installations into dynamic, creative 3 dimensional displays across the different Bb. environments.
•Draw all products, cartons, fixtures, caselines, units, testers, etc. Maintain current to-scale image library to be used in all drawings related to the merchandising department and as needed for creative requirements.
•Technical Illustration Drawings and Archive
•With team, create visual set-ups and displays as well as source resources materials and elements for those displays.
•Work with Corporate Global Merchandising Development in the development process with vendor. Execute vendor-required specifications and to-scale dimensioned drawings/templates on new designs for manufacturer.
•Coordinate with Marketing and Sales to maintain and updates programs and new launches on main unit templates, launch unit platforms and special on counter display units, as required.
•Work closely with Visual Merchandising team to establish a highly creative- but brand appropriate look and feel for all retail/merchandising components as well as establishing levels of communication across a retail environment.
•Work with Director, VM. to create and build a brand guideline and menu for all elements that exist within the Bb.merchandising expression for both retail and salons.
•Attend meetings, present concepts and report on status of current projects to manager
•Brings inspirational contributions to the Bb. Creative team
•Keeps abreast of the merchandising field and new innovations
•Build and maintain a catalogue of interesting resources and inspirations
•Participate in the weekly design review and production meetings
•Provide Director with a weekly activity report
Qualifications
•Position requires 3+ years, preferably in the hair, cosmetics or fashion arena, in visual merchandising and or retail store design or industrial design.
•Strong graphic design with ability to follow graphic standards and 3-dimensional design skills.
•Strong ability to render and communicate ideas, flexibility of vision, responsiveness to creative input, and great visual sensibilities.
•Must be exceptionally creative and innovative, and be able to articulate thoughts and ideas clearly. Interpersonal and communication skills.
•Problem solving, and knowledge of how to execute installations, both in Bb. Salons and other retail environments.
•Ability to work well in a team environment, contribute ideas, and interact with other departments.
•Strong organizational skills and a strong eye for detail.
•Highly motivated, always looking to take initiative.
•Understanding of current Fashion/Retail trends, ability to identify and translate trends in the industry and the consumer marketplace. Well versed on Mac platform; Illustrator, Photoshop, In-Design, SketchUp, Maya or equivalent 3-D drawing program, all Microsoft programs.
•Thorough knowledge of all digital file formats and their best-practice applications.
