Director, International Business Development, Tom Ford Beauty
PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVES
-Works directly with GM International to identify and fuel current and future revenue streams
-Supports International regional GM’s in prioritizing and executing initiatives with the global brand teams
-Analyze business across all dimensions, identify opportunities, gaps, and key trends and ensure executional excellence across regions.
MARKET ANALYTICS/REPORTING
-Maintain and evolve Business Development Dashboard to track the progress of key metrics
-Enhance key performance indicators and productivity metrics
-Synthesize market and consumer intelligence from regions
-Provide feedback of local and regional market dynamics via regional monthly summaries/highlights
-Collaborate with consumer marketing, product marketing and creative to maximize investment efficiency
MARKET DEVELOPMENT
-Analyze international business across all dimensions and make business development recommendations. Work directly with Regional teams on critical initiatives that will impact top priority markets/channels
-Partner with GMs to drive brand sales and market share growth while improving brand profitability
-Participate in monthly GM business/financial reviews. Prepare agendas and recaps for all business meetings
-Collaborate, communicate and influence all global functional teams to ensure needs of markets are understood
-Manage market-specific projects (i.e., new market entry strategy/checklist, turnaround markets, market relevancy projects); liaise with global team to ensure projects executed on time, within budget and deliver quantifiable results to build regional relevance and drive growth
-Assist in the Organization of Global Workshops for all regions
-Conduct market visits to understand market context, observe retail operations, identify areas for improvement and recommend ways to drive growth
-Act as deputy when VP International is out of the office; interface credibly with internal and external teams to represent commercial point of view; make requests of global partners to support commercial business opportunities
DISTRIBUTION
-Prioritize Global Channel and Regional strategy into key actions
-Partner with GMs and regionals to identify market/channel opportunities
-Synthesize regional strategies/action register into executive summary. Publish monthly
-Create and continually enhance distribution tracker for new doors/door upgrades. Enhance key performance metrics and productivity improvements for door upgrades to further drive like door growth
-Evaluate opportunities to maximize TFI partnership; recommend value creation solutions to leverage TFI FSS channel
MARKET ANALYTICS/REPORTING
-Enhance key performance indicators and productivity metrics
-Synthesize market and consumer intelligence from regions
-Provide feedback of local and regional market dynamics via regional monthly summaries/highlights
-Collaborate with International Finance to identify opportunities to improve business reporting by market, category and channel and processes to maximize brand’s efficiency
COMMUNICATION / PRESENTATIONS
-Partner with GMs to prepare presentations for retailer meetings
-Present international strategies and initiatives
-Participate in global conference, international/regional meetings and new hire orientations
Qualifications
-Understanding and appreciation that Licensor (Tom Ford) is the brand voice and creator
-Strong leadership, influence, organizational and project management skills. Collaborative
-Global mindset. International experience or knowledge required
-Knowledge of luxury segment and consumer mindset in fashion and/or beauty required
-Ability to lead through continuous change
-8+ years of marketing and sales experience, preferably in International Business Development
-Undergraduate degree. MBA strongly preferred
-Strong financial background
-Basic understanding of the region’s economic, political, social, cultural, and business landscape and issues
-Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills
-Minimal global travel required (approximately 5-10%). Foreign language skills preferred
