Purpose
Drives high-quality, measurable and sustainable Supply Chain solutions and services for the adidas US and adidas Canada market to ensure product is delivered on time in full by managing the forecasting, purchasing and delivery of adidas product to its desired destination (direct to customers or adidas distribution centers). Ensures NAM has a smooth, reliable and profitable flow of product by accurately tracking and monitoring product through the production and delivery process all the while identifying and resolving supply issues as they arise.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide strategic direction to NAM organizations that establishes best practice procurement practices, aligns with key Canadian and US initiatives, and the provision of cost effective timely supply
• Lead major transformative supply chain initiatives that increases “go to market” speed, provides better planning, decreases costs, and/or improve services. This includes global SPEED programs, supply network planning, above market US and Canada purchasing strategies, excess inventory management, and specific team service enhancements.
• Lead a team of supply chain analysts to partner with the sales and marketing organization in order to manage the forecast, purchase and delivery of adidas product
• Develop and implement local end-to-end supply chain solutions to achieve adidas America’s business targets.
• Develop and continuously evolve tools and reporting capabilities to identify potential product delivery issues and resolve them in a timely and efficient manner. Collaborate with key business partners (Go-to-Market (GTM), Sales, Customer Satisfaction (CS), Sourcing, Traffic, etc.) to prioritize issue resolution taking into consideration such drivers as size of order, degree of lateness, transportation costs, and impact to business relationship.
• Partner with global counterparts in Planning, Sourcing, Business Solutions, etc to evaluate and give feedback on global initiatives to ensure they meet the needs of adidas America. Ensure the timely implementation of such initiatives with minimal disruption to the local business.
• With input from Finance and GTM, evaluate and determine appropriate inventory levels against plan, while managing exceptions as needed in order to meet or exceed inventory targets.
• Build and manage team to optimally utilize tools, systems, and organizational resources to meet or exceed performance targets and ensure on-going success.
• Educate and train team on business challenges and to build business acumen, including using daily informal interaction as a training vehicle.
• Collaborate with Finance and GTM to continually improve forecast accuracy, including developing new methods and reports.
• Defines goals and initiatives for team that align with corporate objectives. Determine the needs of team members and set individual goals and targets to expand their understanding and knowledge.
• Lead projects to review operational procedures and practices towards the goal of making continuous business improvement. Manage on-going projects by defining timelines and milestones, writing project briefs and defining specifications as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Strong understanding of Supply Chain business processes in consumer product and manufacturing industries
• Ability to evaluate processes and simplify to make more efficient in a dynamic international environment
• Ability to think strategically, synthesize complex data and develop innovative solutions with an end-to-end mindset
• Ability to manage and drive to completion complex projects on a local basis while understanding global implications
• Ability to cope with change, make decisions and act comfortably with risk and uncertainty
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills, especially when interacting with different levels of business
• Ability to coach, guide, manage and develop a team
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Ability to travel by aircraft domestic and international
Minimum Qualifications
1. Four year college or university degree with emphasis in the areas of business, logistics, planning, supply chain management, information systems or operations. MBA a plus.
2. Minimum of 10 years progressive experience in logistics, supply chain or production planning, preferably in the sporting goods industry with appropriate management experience.
