Description
EXECUTIVE DEVELOPMENT SR DIRECTOR
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Build rapport and credibility with our highest level executives and key HR Business Partners.
•Manage the assessment and ongoing coaching/bespoke development for our Top 300+ Executives.
•Build strong vendor/partnerships with the top executive development firms across the globe.
•Conduct executive team development interventions (as needed).
•Steward Executive Transition Center inclusive of critical reflection of outgoing experience, assessment of current leadership strengths/development areas, and transition planning for future role/experience.
•Identify leadership development needs: Use human-centered design methodology to discover, synthesize and clearly articulate executive’s leadership development needs.
•Coach key executives formally and informally through critical experiences and key transitions using executive coaching experience, assessment knowhow, and relationship building skills.
SUCCESS CRITERIA:
•Translate org, team, and individual needs into leadership development solutions: Use design expertise and breadth of knowledge of external leadership development resources to design, curate and/or buy-and customize the most impactful solutions. Be adept both at designing solutions as well as providing strategic direction for work done by select external providers. Play a key role in scaling philosophy, approach, and process to maximize opportunities for all execuitives to benefit from impactful learning opportunities – keeping in mind especially the needs of those employees based outside of WHQ.
•Develop and grow key relationships: skillfully cultivate and grow key internal and external relationships. Form and engage in productive partnerships with critical internal stakeholders – business and HR leaders – to evangelize the work and scale it effectively across the organization. Leverage and continue to grow well-established network of external content providers/experts to ensure best-in-class thought leadership. Be versatile in the context of these relationships: from ensuring buy-in with a high-level internal stakeholder, to negotiating a contract with an outside provider and everything in-between.
•Coach and Consult to unleash more potential: use expertise and experience in executive coaching, leadership assessment, and executive team development to aid our executives in improving self awareness, shifting key habits and behaviors, and creating a leadership culture/climate that is inclusive, innovative, and inspiring.
Qualifications
•Advanced degree in organization development/organizational behavior, preferably in Psychology
•Minimum 7-10 years of experience in executive coaching/assessment, executive development or equivalent –including design experience- in a corporate environment
•Deep and consistent work in the assessment/coaching space, who has a strong executive coaching background at one of the big firms (Korn Ferry, CCL, Deloitte, Spencer Stuart, etc.)
•Strong psycho-metric assessment background (is certified in multiple assessments has best-in-class expertise in individual assessment, team-based assessment, and executive assessment.
•Extensive experience with designing and implementing custom programs/content at-scale for employees across organizational levels in a global environment
•Strong project management skills to lead a concept from inception to execution
•Track record of effectively identifying, evaluating and articulating a fit between business needs and leadership development solutions
•Strong network and relationships with global Executive Development Consultants and Firms.
•High emotional intelligence
•Strong business acumen, analytical and problem-solving skills
•Poise at engaging and developing collaborative, productive relationships with business and HR stakeholders globally
•Strong written and oral communication skills
•Instructional design background is a plus
