Job Summary:
As a member of the Internal Communications team, you will be responsible for the development and execution of communications strategies and content development for our global internal audience. You will work with business partners, including the Old Navy Leadership Team (ONLT), to leverage compelling storytelling to inform our teams about key initiatives, projects and programs that drive clarity of our brand priorities and our long range plan, as well as cultivate and celebrate our culture.
We are looking for a self-starter with a proven track record in creating and executing bold, creative, measurable communication campaigns across a wide range of audiences.
Responsibilities:
• Support the development and execution of communication strategies for the larger Product team: Design, Production, Inventory Management and Merchandising
• Manage the editorial calendar for key Old Navy internal communication channels including: weekly internal newsletter, functional and all employee Town Halls, Quarterly messaging and Gap Web (intranet)
• Develop, write, and edit communications including: emails, presentations and talk tracks for key leaders, and Old Navy product stories for newsletters, LinkedIn, and the larger Gap Inc. communication channels (GapInc.com, Careers Blog, etc.)
• Create dynamic visual and written content for all Old Navy events including: Field Leadership Conference (FLC), Upper Field Conference (UFC), Town Halls, Speaker Series
• Engage, support and influence key leaders in a way that reflects an understanding of their business and leadership style
QUALIFICATIONS:
• BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
• 5 or more years of experience in internal communications, media, government or non-profit environment, and experience with writing, multimedia content development and leadership support (fashion and retail experience preferred)
• Experience managing projects and coordinating content for events
• Excellent creative and visual storytelling skills, presentation design and creating content for events (must be proficient in PowerPoint or Keynote—Experience with Adobe Creative Suite a plus!)
• Effective team player capable of leading efforts across categories
• Proven communicator with excellent written and verbal communications skills, and attention to detail
