Job Summary:
As a member of the Brand Communications team, you will be responsible for the development and execution of engagement strategies, employee communications and events for our internal audience. You will work with business partners within the Mission Bay SF Headquarters as well as in the field, including the Old Navy Leadership Team (ONLT), on developing and executing projects, programs and events to amplify brand initiatives, inspire our community of employees, and cultivate and celebrate our ‘Great Place to Work’ culture.
We are looking for a self-starter with a proven track record in creating and executing bold, creative, measurable event and engagement campaigns across a wide range of audiences.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the development and execution of event and engagement strategies for Old Navy’s 1,000+ Mission Bay employees that continues to drive its ‘Great Place to Work’ culture
• Collaborate with Store Operations leaders to implement shared engagement opportunities between HQ and the field
• Partner with Gap, Inc. Global Events team on enterprise-wide events featuring key business leaders and for broad audiences; seek opportunities to share best practices across Gap Inc.’s portfolio of brands (Gap, Banana Republic and Athleta)
• Manage event logistics for all employee and functional Town Halls, Field Leadership Conference (FLC), Upper Field Conference (UFC), Old Navy Town Halls, Speaker Series
• Create and edit content in support of events and engagement opportunities including: company-wide emails, event collateral and stories shared through the brand’s various communication channels
• Engage and influence key leaders in a way that reflects an understanding of their business and leadership style
Qualifications:
• BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
• At least 7 years of events and communications experience in fashion, retail or non-profit environment – agency or in-house
• Experience leading cross-functional projects, crafting highly engaging brand experiences and coordinating content for large-scale internal and external events
• Excellent creative and visual skills, including event production and presentation design
• Effective team player capable of leading efforts across categories
• Proven communicator with excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Experience developing ‘Great Place to Work’ engagement and culture-driving initiatives a plus
