Executive Director, Online New Media, MAC
Description
• Lead MAC’s global new media content strategy, creation and execution of all social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Youtube, Tumblr, Sina, Mixi, @Cosme, Line, WeChat, Weibo and Google+ as well as future social media platforms.
• Manage and mentor a lean but high performing team of art directors, designers and animators
• Partner closely with the MAC consumer marketing, global communications and editorial team to develop an own-able voice in the new media space
• Creative development of video content for Social Media, Global Communications and Internal Presentations (TTT)
• Concept photo shoots and video shoots to ensure creative excellence in visual content and align with approved creative direction for Social Channels.
• Work closely with cross-functional ED's to generate seasonal ideas for collections and photo shoots.
• Maintain visual and conceptual consistency with brand strategy for collections and apply to all digital mediums; maintain awareness of future programs and initiatives and how they relate to overall creative strategy.
• Exhibit a broad understanding of the digital landscape, leading trends and changes in consumer behavior, identify social innovations to leverage on MAC Cosmetic’s social platforms.
• Research and analyze industry trends and maintain knowledge of emerging technologies and creative techniques.
• Oversee production process of all new media assets and applications.
• Work closely with other ED's to generate seasonal ideas for collections and photo shoots.
• Responsible for MAF social platforms.
• Introduce new talent, vendors and agencies for video and digital projects.
Qualifications
• 10+ Years of art direction, design and content creation experience
• 5+ Years of team management experience
• Strong communication and team building skills
• Knowledge of computer programs including: Adobe Illustrator, Indesign and PhotoShop, Flash, HTML, Java
• Knowledge of emerging digital platforms and devices
• Strong digital strategy, design and content building skills for all brand digital programs and products.
• Understanding of current fashion, design and digital trends, project goals and requirements, usability, technical constraints, budget and schedule
