Responsibilities
The Application Manager, Retail ERP will provide end-to-end project management throughout the lifecycle of a project. They have full accountability for managing larger low complexity to high complexity projects, or projects within programs for Retail; multiple concurrent projects may be managed as well. Responsibilities will include: estimating, scheduling, coordinating, assigning resources, ensuring project funding, technical requests, architecture reviews, network deployment, infrastructure deployment, application/database knowledge, client management and assisting in recommending business solutions/alternatives for projects. This role will focus on new implementations, upgrades, internal and 3rd party projects for Enterprise Applications for the companies IT solutions. Experience in ERP application deployments is required. Technical knowledge on delivery and implementations is a must as this position requires knowledge of the entire ERP solution including infrastructure, network, application, database, testing, client management, and overall project management.
• Assess, plan for, and manage project risks, issues, jeopardizes, escalations and problem resolutions
• Manage project scope, project budgeting and cost reporting, and ensure completion of projects while meeting quality, schedule and cost objectives using the organizations standard processes
• Act as project liaison between IT partners, client organizations and IT leadership
• May assist in supplier management of existing vendors
• Nature of Contribution- Seasoned technical professional who contributes through proven technical expertise.
• Subject matter expert within own discipline/specialty area and basic knowledge of other disciplines / specialty areas. Deep technical knowledge. Applies in-depth knowledge of discipline/specialty area standards and processes to work. Integrates industry experience and deep professional/ technical knowledge. Technical leader and recognized expert on select technologies, systems and/or procedures.
• Analysis and Problem Solving -Solves unique problems through evaluative judgment and precedent. Independently applies sophisticated analysis in evaluating issues and develops new concepts, methods and techniques for cross-functional initiatives. Recognizes and pursues alternative methods.
• Key contributor on complex projects and initiatives. Impacts current and future business opportunities through application of specialized technical and industry knowledge. Develops methods and techniques based on strategic project objectives.
• Deep knowledge and understanding of ERP application deployment for NetSuite; including application understanding, interface setups, access methods, architecture, and implementation/migration experience.
Qualification:
• 5+ years experience in progressively responsible Retail ERP application implementation and support.
• Proven experience in development and implementation and ongoing support of business applications, in a Retail/Wholesale environment.
• Experience with broad range of NetSuite application is preferred with emphasis on Retail and Retail Financials.
• Solid understanding of NetSuite Application technology and architecture.
• Knowledge of testing theory and practice, unit, integration, user acceptance, and regression.
• Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
• Results oriented with a history of problem resolution and prevention
• Demonstrated strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of people who have different skill levels of technical competence.
• Must have excellent technical and non-technical writing skills
• Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing
• Demonstrated excellent customer service approach in all situations
