Job Description
POSITION TITLE: Manager of Allocation
POSITION PURPOSE:
To maximize sales and profitability by maintaining correct stock levels by store. Responsible for managing and optimizing in-store inventory that drives sales, margin and store performance for the company. Develops and manages store/department allocation strategies that capture the identified location-based store attribute opportunities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Directs activities of subordinates and coordinates cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate execution of initial allocations and replenishments for existing locations as well as remodel/new store assortments.
Creates and nurtures interaction between Allocators, Buying Team, Planning, Field, Warehouse and all other partners to ensure timely, accurate communication and a productive working relationship that achieves stated objectives.
Responsible for ongoing staff training and development.
Special projects and tasks as assigned or developed.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 4-6 Years
