Nike HR Operational Services is the engine powering a full suite or HR services. We support a growing workforce of over 70,000 employees across the globe. Operational Services include the delivery of Total Rewards strategies with a laser focus on seamless employee experience and complete regulatory compliance.
As the Americas Total Rewards Compliance Director, you will play a critical role in partnering with Nike’s Global Total Rewards Compliance Director. You will activate a comprehensive and integrated compliance offense in service of Nike’s Total Rewards strategy. You will have direct accountability for all aspects of tax and labor compliance across the Americas region. Together, the Total Rewards compliance team will create and maintain a proactive, sustainable model of operational risk management across the globe.
In this role, it will be essential to drive alignment and partnership across multiple strategic and functional HR teams. You will need to think quickly, and act decisively. Nike, Inc. is a fast-paced business with a focus on precision – including rapid and continuous response to regulatory changes.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Design, build and deliver an operating model for Total Rewards compliance in the Americas region
• Lead Americas Total Rewards compliance practice to provide governance, guidelines and recommendations on complex compliance matters to a wide range of partners
• Continuously monitor legislative developments to ensure internal processes remain current
• Develop trusted relationships across the organization to effectively educate and influence on key risk and control issues
• Utilize your specialized expertise to minimize compliance risks while decreasing administrative burdens
• Ensure integration and alignment between different functions in HR Operational Services, the Total Rewards Center of Excellence, and key business partners on compliance matters
• Anticipate potential roadblocks, identify opportunities for improvement and provide practical approaches to problem solving
Qualifications
• Knowledge and experience operating regulatory frameworks related to Total Rewards programs for multinational companies
• CPA, Attorney or EA designation
• Experience to include a minimum of 12+ years in tax or labor compliance
• Preferred candidates will have a combination of experience across Big 4 public accounting, a national law firm and corporate in-house counsel
• Ability to lead, coach, inspire a team of direct reports, indirect reports and vendors
• Ability to network, influence and utilize internal and external resources
• Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a diverse group
• Ability to lead cross functional initiatives and project teams
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to clearly articulate objectives, strong information seeking skills and ability to make things happen
