Oliver Peoples Group - Marketing Coordinator
Position:Full-Time

GENERAL FUNCTION The Specialist- Communications is responsible for support on all brand marketing initiatives, and assists with Digital & Retail marketing tasks. Collaborates with all other departments to create and maintain a positive public image for all brands within Oliver Peoples Group. Provides support to various creative teams by coordinating press and stock, editorial management, PR, product placement, and events.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Supports communications and projects across interdepartmental teams; PR, Digital, Graphics, & Retail.
• Help manage all marketing presentations & assets.
• Maintains department deadlines and requests from head office to support a consistent global marketing message for the subsidiaries
• Maintains all marketing dept. invoices, budgets, and external vendor relations.
• Work closely with the accounting department to monitor department budget, and vendor payments
• Monitors budgets by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
• Facilitates the contract review process and execution for all marketing related partnerships and projects
• Manages Directors travel and expenses
• Support PR department with inventory, events, and press/VIP relations
• Supports the OP email database and create templates for customer newsletters & e-blasts
• Support the Digital department on developing content stories and research social media trends to support e-comm sales and new product drops.
• Coordinate asset creation and execution of product shoots between the social and creative teams to ensure both meet deadlines for branded social media content
• Coordinate the production and distribution of e-vites, boutique signage, and marketing collateral for all OP boutique promotions, annual sales, and Summer Sessions
• Collaborate and support the retail marketing team with signage and events execution.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• A 4 year degree in communications, marketing, or a related field
• 2+ years public relations experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and a creative mindset.
• Must have knowledge of the entertainment and fashion industry with stylist and press contacts.
• May be required to sit or stand or long periods of time
• Ability to solve problems quickly, think creatively and thrive in a fast-paced, environment
• Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
• Proficient in Microsoft Office , SAP and Kronos.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10-30 lbs. or more, bending, walking, or standing for an extended period of time.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 3-4 years’ experience working with the celebrity and fashion editorial industry.
• Previous media experience
• Strategic thinking skills and fast learners desired.
• Fosters and promotes a cohesive team.
• Punctual and Reliable
• Ability and willingness to orally seek out information in order to complete work in an effective and accurate manner.
• Organizational awareness.
• Exemplifies the brand’s vision, mission and values; celebrates wins; leads by example.
