Vans Retail Operations Summer Intern: Become the Newest Member of the Vans Family
As the Vans Retail Operations Summer Intern, you will have the opportunity to team up with our retail family to evaluate the current remodel process of our stores. We have 500 stores in our North America Region and you will have the opportunity to get to know our family members and work directly with them for their input and expertise on remodel process improvements. You’ll engage with all levels of retail from district managers to sales associates to best understand and evaluate how the remodel process affects our business and our customer experience. This opportunity will contribute to making the Vans home even more awesome to visit!
The Summer Internship Program goes from June 19, 2018 to August 24, 2018. All students are required to work the entire 10 weeks at 32/hours week.
How You Will Make a Difference:
• Review the current open remodel process of Vans retail stores.
• Conduct internal stakeholder research with retail employees to understand challenges and opportunities for a new remodel timeline.
• Research and review remodels done by best in class companies.
• Present your findings in a formal presentation to apply what you’ve learned from your project, workshops, and networking with professionals to our Senior Leadership.
Skills for Success:
Educational/ Position Requirements:
• Years of Related Professional Experience: 0-1 year
• One previous internship experience desired.
• Currently enrolled full time or graduated within one year from an accredited education institution within Retail Operations or Finance.
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook, etc.
• A strong participation level and/or interest in various action sports, street culture, music and/or art.
• An independent thinker and ability to contribute in an independent environment.
Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:
• Travel by air and overnight, as required 10% amount of time.
• Lifting and/or bending 10 pounds amount of weight.
