Major Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of the Director, Outbound Fulfillment Operations is to provide leadership and direction for Outbound Operations within Fulfillment as well as other areas as needed. This position is responsible for the productivity and performance accuracy of these areas of the operation.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Provide leadership to a team of Operations Executives and Operations Leads over three separate shifts.
2. Make recommendations and assist in formulation of departmental objectives, policies, and plans.
3. Plan, examine, analyze and evaluate fulfillment center operations with respect to productivity standards, safety, and customer support.
4. Evaluate current procedures, determining opportunities for continuous improvement and implementing updated processes.
5. Leverage Lean Six Sigma principles to identify and resolve operational problems, ensuring company standards are met and/or exceeded.
6. Responsible for assisting in the creation and implementation of training programs for associates to include improving communication between departments and associate development of supervisory skills, interpersonal skills, and technical skills.
7. Mentor and develop executive and lead talent to build bench strength.
Qualifications
Personal Characteristics
The successful candidate must possess an ability to effectively interact in a team environment with senior leadership, peer groups, and relate to and motivate an hourly and salaried associate team. This individual will also have a demonstrated effective communication skills with all levels within the organization including employees, direct reports, cross-functional teams and executive leadership.
Professional Qualifications
• 7-10 years of experience in fulfillment center operations with a minimum of 3 years’ experience Management exempt-level leaders.
• Prior experience managing multiple shifts.
• Lean Six Sigma or Green Belt Certification a plus.
• Proficient with using MS Office/Google GSuite applications to process and present data.
• Knowledge of WMS systems, RF technology, and Quality measurements & processes.
• Flexibility in working different shift schedules to include weekends.
Educational Credentials
Bachelor's degree in a business-related field required, preferably in Supply Chain Management.
