Description
As our Brand Senior Director for Running APLA region you'll provide strategic direction, leadership and management of initiatives throughout the Americas region and drive consumer demand for Nike products. You'll co-lead the execution of the concept calendar; be a principal leaders of cross-functional, regional and country marketing teams within the Americas region; and set integrated strategy and drive consumer focus on seasonal initiatives. You'll communicate plans across complex matrix on a corporate, regional, country and functional basis, ensuring broad-based support for plans and intended results. You'll develop and implement policies and processes to facilitate improved planning around assigned brand projects and develop clear metrics per initiative/project. You'll also evaluate business controls and process issues affecting efforts; identify, evaluate and drive additional brand opportunities; and work with appropriate contacts within Nike’s Matrix to help set overall direction for brand projects and initiatives. You'll integrate Advertising, P/R, Retail, Digital, Events, Design, Product Marketing, Sales and other project relevant divisions to ensure that Integrated Marketing objectives are met within fiscal guidelines. You'll lead virtual teams in the process of developing insights and observations on consumer, competitor activity and retail trends as it relates to Running in the Americas region and drive the execution of assigned categories, brand initiatives and projects, maximizing the impact, visibility and leverage of Nike. This opportunity also involves leading virtual project teams to develop and execute integrated plans and prioritizing marketing opportunities. In addition, you'll function as team leader and key point of contact for specific issues and communication of plans and build professional relationships to enhance long-term vendor relations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a business related field
• 2 years of additional experience in lieu of degree
• 8 - 10 years' experience in consumer, brand, product marketing and/or advertising with a high profile, globally branded organization
• Cultural acuity and proven ability to work within differing cultural practices and customs
• Successful experience in a senior level management position with proven ability to provide direction to other managers
• Experience developing and implementing integrated marketing plans
• Strategic thinker with problem-solving and strong analytical skills
• Ability to balance creativity and bottom line business needs
• Proven ability to negotiate, influence and collaborate with other key decision makers in a complex matrix environment
• Familiarity with consumer marketplace in the Asia Pacific Latin America (APLA) region
