Summary
We are looking for someone with a scrappy, get-it-done attitude who is passionate about analyzing data to solve business problems. This role will also have a heavy dose of exposure to senior management and candidates need a proven track record of distilling down complex data into actionable insights.
Responsibilities
• Lead business analytics support for our operations team and cross-functional marketing initiatives that impact our fulfillment operations.
• Dive into complex data sets to analyze trends, identify opportunities and quantify the potential value of new initiatives.
• Consult with business stakeholders (e.g. operations managers, ecommerce general managers) on ad-hoc analyses, experiments and reporting
• Collaborate cross-functionally with diverse teams (e.g. technology, merchandising, procurement, operations, apparel design/production) to understand business objectives and details of different data sources.
• Partner with technology and data engineering teams to operationalize insights.
• Effectively communicate analysis findings to non-technical stakeholders and senior leadership
Qualifications
• Detail-oriented, with strong analytical, technical and problem solving skills
• Hands on experience working with large and complex data – proficiency w/ SQL required
• Working knowledge of at least one analytic/statistical software package preferred (e.g. R)
• Understanding of basic statistics (advanced statistics/machine learning training a plus)
• Successful applicants should have familiarity with and/or interest in learning relevant technical skills such as:
◦ Business intelligence/ visualization tools (e.g. Tableau)
◦ General purpose programming languages (e.g. Python)
◦ Advanced Excel
◦ Big data frameworks (e.g. Hadoop, Hive)
• 3+ years experience; e-commerce, retail, or logistics industry experience preferred
• Knowledge of sports helpful, but not required
