Director Finance SCM
Purpose
The general purpose of the Group Functions Finance is to be a financial consultant to the Group Functions Senior Management by giving recommendations to enable and drive fact-based decision-making. The Finance Functions support and steer the business to achieve financial targets as well as the strategy based on the analysis of number indicators. This is supported by the creation of transparency about business performance through cost (-centre) analysis, business analysis and performance management
As part of Group Functions Finance, SCM Controlling is responsible for financial controlling and cost management and provides tailored key performance indicators. As a business partner we enable fact based decision making, best practice sharing and continuous process improvement by creating transparency on impact and dependencies of core cost and service drivers. We derive corresponding solution through application of state of the art analytical tools and business expertize.
This role focuses on:
• Ensure transparency of Supply Chain cost and service levels across NAM as one of regional clusters within SCM (US and Canada)
• Partner with the business to visualize impact and dependencies of core cost and service drivers enabling best practice sharing and fact-based decision making
• Actively drive Supply Chain strategy development and implementation through leading all business case developments for NAM.
Key Responsibilities
• Drive execution of SCM strategy to improve end-to-end group performance, cost and service levels.
• Overall responsibility for the financial controlling of all logistic cost related to the Supply Chain Management (SCM) functions within NAM (including all warehouses)
• Proactively drive transparency on cost and cost drivers of the Supply Chain through cost management of the assigned budget by supervising budget process and forecast, reporting actual costs, explaining cost deviations, and identifying savings potential as part of cost saving initiatives
• Act as a business partner, e.g. by ensuring financial but also non-financial managers are provided top notch and highly accurate information for analysis for their business decisions.
• Manage business case development of Supply Chain projects and investments by challenging, identifying and quantifying improvement potential; cascading business cases into project budgets including project budget controlling support and business case target follow-up (full project life-cycle support); and enabling one-stop shopping for consistency
• Drive the development and continuous enhancement of balanced Key Performance Indicators, ensuring transparency on business performance drivers and building sustainable “performance management culture” within the Supply Chain Organization
• Lead by example cross-functional collaboration
• Manage (build, develop, coach, motivate and lead) a strong, diversified team; facilitate and foster continuous learning environment for the team which enables team members to perform
• Identify requirements and further develop methods for advanced budgeting, forecasting and performance tracking; establish a benchmarking process; and deepen knowledge and understanding of industry trends

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Strong financial controlling skillset
• Excellent analytical skills in order to synthesize complex data and develop innovative solutions
• Excellent communication skills in order to negotiate with internal and/or external parties with possible divergent interests and with different business areas
• Strong result orientation and pro-activity with a high degree of customer orientation
• Ability to coach, guide, manage, and develop a team
• Advanced project management skills
• Solid knowledge of end-to-end supply chains
• Good understanding of performance management methods and improvement tools such as Balanced Scorecard, SixSigma, Activity-Based-Costing et al.
• Advanced user skills in SAP-CO/PA, Business Intelligence (SAP BW, IBM Cognos et al.)
• Advanced MS Office skills, especially MS Excel
• Enjoy working in a dynamic and ambitious multinational team
• Fluent in English (written and spoken) Chinese language a plus
• Possess a strong set of skills acquired through advanced training, study and experience
• Broad & deep knowledge in own functional area, combining with broad knowledge of other areas
Minimum Qualifications
1. University degree in Business Administration / Finance / Controlling / Logistics
2. 10-years of work experience in related field; alternatively, 5+ years of relevant Performance/ Supply Chain Management experience; 5+ years of experience managing a team
3. Knowledge of fast moving consumer goods, fashion industry and/or retail is an advantage
4. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training
