Overview
The Associate Account Executive is responsible for all Sales-related functions for half of our specialty sector. This includes preparing analysis and managing the market appointments as well as monitoring shipping and selling of the product. This position also supports the Sales Manager with a Major account.
Responsibilities
Account Ownership -Manage 50% of our Specialty business
Market
• Complete and review pre-market booking goals with the Sales Manager prior to market open
• Lead market appointments
• Process orders, updating bookings recap and present to Sales Manager (Actual vs Plan vs LY), highlighting risks and/or opportunities
Order Entry & Maintenance
• Submit contracts for milestone meetings as well as production
• Check orders in system
• Send order confirmations
• Order fulfillment management (past cancels, oversold etc.)
Sales
• Primary contact for account communication via email/phone regarding reorders, opportunities, swaps, and any issues
• Represent topline specialty sector in weekly sales meetings
• Pull and analyze data for accounts in scope
• Create business recommendations and solutions, with coaching
Planning
• Create and review goals with guidance from the Sales Manager
• Update shipping forecast monthly, reporting on any risks and/or opportunities
Sales Manager Account Support
Market
• Attend Market appointments; providing support to Sales Manager
Order Entry & Maintenance Support
• Processing post market orders
• Sending order confirmations
• Moving EDIs and updating ship log weekly
◦ Update Sales Manager on status of open bulks in weekly touchbase
Sales
• Updating weekly selling reports
• Monthly by-style recaps
• Monthly sales to stock by classification + delivery
Planning
• Pulling On Order for Forecast updates
• Other Support to Sales Manager as needed
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Sales/Planning/Buying experience (at least one of these is required)
• Prior experience working with a major/department store in addition to Specialty accounts
• 2-4 years relevant experience
• Proficiency in Excel, and especially skilled at V-Look Up and Pivot Table functions
• Strong understanding of retail math concepts
