Overview
The International e-Commerce merchandising assistant will support the international site experience team that is responsible for merchandising product and category pages to maximize sales, noting opportunities to increase product conversion through dynamic cross sells, additional product detail, and site placement. The merchandising assistant will also ensure timely release of product to the site with accountability for accurate product information.
Responsibilities
Supporting Site Production and Merchandising
• Support loading of creative content and preparing for seasonal site refreshes
• Assist with translation process of master product catalog and site creative copy on a seasonal basis
• Assist with the maintenance of EU seasonal site refresh calendars
• Manage daily site maintenance tasks including QA, merchandising and product management
• Categorize each product under its corresponding category and subcategory on a seasonal basis
• Visually merchandise product to reflect homepage/landing page content themes for each category/sub-category prior to seasonal refreshes
• Refresh sequencing of products weekly to improve visibility across collections while noting any potential opportunities to increase conversion
• Track inventory through in-stock reports to ensure new product is going online in a timely manner and all temporarily offline products are accounted for
• Identify product photography needs unique to the international buy
Coordination with Cross Functional Partners
• Partner with Buying, Planning and Allocation to stay knowledgeable on the international product buy, product delivery dates, and any product changes prior to seasonal site refreshes
• Collaborate with the US merchandising and content teams to be aware of corporate strategy and how initiatives could be relevant in the European market places.
• Attend twice weekly meetings with Creative Services on refresh image and copy status
• Coordinate with Digital Operations on outstanding product photography, and any other seasonal photography requests
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 2 years full-time work experience in global fashion, luxury, or lifestyle brands
• Experience in e-commerce, digital communications or marketing functions
• Solid organizational and follow-up skills, ability to prioritize, strong attention to detail
• Team player with leadership spirit, proactive approach and capable of working independently
• Highly flexible and adapts well to a rapidly changing environment
• Demandware experience a plus
• Multi-lingual a plus
