The Senior Category Manager leads the inventory strategy of their category and acts as a trusted advisor to Regional Merchandise Planners to support the end-to-end strategy execution of the business plan. They are responsible for collaborating with merchandise and planning to ensure the development of complex, profitable inventory strategies. The Senior Category Manager conducts financial analysis to determine optimum inventory strategies for the inventory flow.

• Excess and Obsolete percentages
• Turns and Weeks Forward Coverage
• Annual Financial Plan
Key Responsibilities:
• Builds and manage complex and effective inventory strategies that align with financial objectives of the company
• Serve as a liaison between planning, supply planning, and inventory management to build delivery plans & flow forecasts
• Accountable for collaborating with Inventory Management Lead and other Category Inventory Managers to resolve issues related to product shipment delays
• Recommend size strategies and size profile adjustments
• Lead teams in executing allocations
• Recommend exception management activities
• Critical Support preparation of Regional S&OP and recommend profitable inventory decisions
• Leads, coaches and develops team members to ensure performance objectives are achieved and ongoing career development occurs.
• Provides Net requirements to Supply Planning to ensure production is sized in timely manner.
• Work together with Supply Planning to define and work out different Inventory optimization initiatives and define requirements
• Support preparation of Regional S&OP and recommend profitable inventory decisions (Open to Buy/Monitor and React Meetings).
• Work in close relation with other Category Managers to achieve regional objectives, analyze confirmed delivery timing, negotiate with Supply Planning on delivery terms

Qualifications
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience)
Experience:
• 7-10 years of Inventory Management experience (preferably apparel)
Specialized Knowledge/Technical Skills:
• Technical proficiency with computer software tools and the ability to learn new ones quickly (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Access applications)& SAP
Decision Making and Problem solving:
• Strong analytical/problem solving capabilities including the ability to quickly identify and communicate implications from consumer, internal and marketplace information
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Ability to build constructive and effective relationships with a broad, diverse group of business partners, mainly the cross-functional team
• Ability to influence cross-functional partners and reports
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
