We are looking for a Sr. Designerto strategize DENIZEN® and Signature Men’s and Boys best-in-class product that drives quality, value, innovation, profit and sales.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build 18-24 mos strategy for Men’s and Boys, deliver financial targets
• Strategize, manage, and drive innovation of the category through best-in-class quality, seasonal fabric, fit, finish, style and sundries development
• Understand and analyze current selling to advise future trends with a deep understanding of the marketplace
• Strategize and manage creation of quantitative and qualitative data trend reports to support seasonal sell-in meetings
• Manage and direct team to develop on-brand, trend-right product compelling for the consumer
• Research and monitor the consumer and marketplace to stay ahead of the competition
• Manage and drive seasonal concept and color stories
• Manage team creation and execution of PLM BOM data integrity: protos, commercial samples and production
• Develop the strategy and innovation to meet seasonal product and COGS targets
• Strategize and drive GTM timelines, processes and deliverables
• Design and develop product with a sustainable mindset and +Net Positive without compromising aesthetics
• Drive technical design packs communicating style, size, proportion, scale, and attention to details, manage and drive fittings and product development
• Deliver quality product that drives replenishment conversion and brand equity, uphold brand identity and integrity
• Lead, manage and develop a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment
• Build and maintain cross functional relationships leading collaboration and partnerships with design, merchandising, and Product Development
• Drive vendor and mill partnerships and full package development process
Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Apparel Design, or a combination of college education and industry related work experience may be used as a substitute
• 8+ yrs experience as a Designer, responsible for all facets of design and development
• Men’s and Kids apparel design experience
• Expertise in textiles and product development; strong working knowledge of garment construction, patternmaking, , finishing techniques, and processes
• Proficient on all design platforms – Adobe CC and PLM program
• MS Office proficiency, Word, Excel and Outlook
• Ability to multi-task; with the desire to work in a very fast paced environment and an ability to not become frustrated with last minute changes
• Effective interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills; especially when it comes to working directly with senior level directors
• Excellent discretion, judgment, tact and diplomacy
• Must demonstrate an energetic, positive, helpful demeanor and a passion and interest in LS&Co.
