Description
Support the growth of the ESTEE LAUDER COMPANIES’ Travel Retail (TR) group by helping to manage the strategy development process, working to drive execution of major business development projects and developing targeted business intelligence on the TR market. Ensure tight collaboration with key stakeholders from across the TR Worldwide organization: TR Global Brands, Regions and Functions (e.g., Finance, Supply Chain).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategy Development (30%)
Assist in developing the TR Region’s rolling 3 year strategy. Help to define a clear process and work with cross-functional teams to ensure that all deliverables are met for the final presentation
Follow up on action items from all strategy-related meetings and initiatives
Business Development (45%)
Oversee key business development opportunities (end-to-end): build initial business plans (upside and investments), develop detailed workplans and drive execution (main focus) of the 3-4 highest priority transversal projects in collaboration with TR Global Brands, Regions and Functions
Provide supporting analysis for select key trade conferences and senior management presentations
Business Intelligence (25%)
Expand market intelligence capabilities within Travel Retail space: identify key vendors to partner with and help to ensure proper diffusion and adoption of new capabilities by the organization
Produce capstone annual report on the state of the TR market
Provide targeted analyses to support quarterly assessment of TRWW business performance
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree required, MBA preferred
8 years of related experience, at least 2 years in strategy consulting (preferred)
Excellent analytical foundation, used to working in imperfect data environments; strong attention to detail
Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
Passion for moving from strategy to implementation: unafraid to ‘dig into the details’ (operationalization)
Self-starter: able to prioritize own activities and work across multiple projects in parallel
Interest in both travel and beauty preferred
International background preferred
