Overview
Foot Locker Inc., the Fortune 500 leading global retailer of athletically inspired shoes and apparel, is currently looking to hire an accounting and finance professional as Staff Accountants - Sales Audit, at our Corporate Financial Service Center in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. This position will be responsible for providing executive accounting information while generating monthly, quarterly, and yearly accounting processes for Foot Locker, Inc. and its subsidiaries globally. This position reports to the Manager of Sales Audit, and processes sales accurately and timely on a daily basis for all global operating divisions through the use of the Sales Audit system.
Responsibilities
• Perform analytical reviews and variance analysis for balance sheets and income statements
• Prepare and present accurate, well supported financial analysis and reports
• Prepare detailed balance sheet account reconciliations
• Prepare and post accurate journal entries into the financial systems
• Ensure results are fairly stated in accordance with GAAP and internal policies
• Adhere to and enhance internal financial controls
• Provide support and analysis for annual budgets and weekly forecasts
• Provide support to Foot Locker divisional finance and operations teams
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Monitor, report and prepare as necessary, he daily store sales via the flash sales report
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations for potential exposures or benefits to the Corporation, research and clear variances
• Prepare quarter-end reports, such as Layaway Sale Analysis and the sales Return Reserve Analysis
• Develop and implement effective data collection procedures
• Assist/advise other departments on sales polling status/Sales Audit issues
• Develop cost savings idea/procedures which result in bottom line savings to the corporation
• Track and clear all sales related suspense
• Assist in compliance and maintenance of Section 404 of Sarbanes-Oxley and end user computing policies
• Assist with sales analytics system testing
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong verbal and written communication analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products (i.e. Excel, Word, Access, etc.).
• Detail oriented with ability to understand the whole process.
• Demonstrated experience working independently as well as in a team environment.
• Experience with and/or knowledge of PeopleSoft a plus.
• Must be willing to work extended hours during peak periods.
• Mobility and willingness to relocate a plus.
