The Creative Communications Department is responsible for creating and implementing the company’s integrated communications strategies, which contribute to the achievement of the company’s financial targets and market share, as well as the development of the Lilly Pulitzer® brand. Our creative communications strategy is to develop persuasive communications that attract new consumers, retain existing consumers, and motivate consumers to increase their average annual purchase with Lilly Pulitzer.
The Creative Communications Department represents a key link between the Consumer and the rest of the company. Through research and analysis, the Department must know the Lilly Pulitzer consumer implicitly, and translate this knowledge into opportunities for the business. Ultimately, the communications strategies must encourage our current consumer to purchase more, while attracting potential new consumers to the brand.
Within the Creative Communications Department, the Creative Services team designs purposeful digital and print collateral that supports the Creative Communications strategy and reinforces our Lilly’s Resort Chic brand positioning through the lens of our Life In Print visual strategy.
Creative Services is also responsible for communicating and strategizing with other departments internally. The Creative Services team caters to clients including: wholesale accounts (specialty stores, signature stores, major department stores), retail stores, e-commerce, and corporate management. Graphic design is a key component of sales support.
As a member of the Creative Services team, the Freelance Junior Graphic Designer’s primary responsibility is to create compelling visual assets that delight and persuade the Lilly Pulitzer consumer.
The Freelance Junior Graphic Designer has the challenge of bringing the creative vision to life while executing the needs of many. Creative Services and the Freelance Junior Graphic Designer are responsible for maintaining the Brand Vision: Life in Print and Lilly’s Resort Chic positioning in all visual materials. Additionally, all visual materials must meet Creative Communications objectives on time and within budget. This role is extremely collaborative and extremely creative.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for creating compelling Life in Print branded assets that support all retail channels
Produces seasonal collateral and templates for the brand’s web-to-print marketing portal
Work closely with the Graphic Designer to manage the administration, user accounts, usage reports and collateral needs of the brand’s web-to-print marketing portal
Responsible for one-off in-store event collateral and in-store signage design needs
Design sales materials, presentations, and branded materials for internal communications
Manage multiple job requests, seeing each project through to completion, making sure to triple check all work

Advertising as necessary
Logo usage and adjustment

Key product signage
Seasonal Imagery
Direct mail
Additional email support for stores
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
• 1-2 years of graphic design experience, preferably in the fashion/retail industry. Bachelor’s degree in graphic arts or related field preferred, not required. Can include internship experience.
• Proficient knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
• An understanding of the Lilly Pulitzer brand positioning
• Strong portfolio that demonstrates sophisticated use of typography & layout
• Understanding of the apparel market and a vision for business-driving tactics
• Creative vision as well as excellent attention to detail
• Ability to maintain manage workload and meet deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Strong multi-tasking skills
• An understanding of the printing process
• Upbeat and collaborative attitude
• This is a temp position based in King of Prussia, PA.
