Foot Locker offers paid internships at our offices in New York, Camp Hill, PA, Bradenton, FL, Wausau, WI and Milwaukee, WI. As an Intern you will learn about the retail and ecommerce industry; participate in a collaborative business project, volunteer opportunities, corporate training. We're looking for a bright, motivated intern to assist the PR & Events department in a variety of tasks for the Summer of 2018. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone who is interested in public relations and events. You’ll work directly with senior team members who will guide you on your daily tasks. You’ll have lots of hands-on experience that will prepare you for your future opportunities.
Our ideal intern is entrepreneurial and a self-starter. He/she must have good communication skills, should be organized, detail-oriented, and have great time-management skills. We are looking for interns who are ambitious, driven and like to think outside the box. Having an interest in fashion, sneaker culture and sports is a plus.
Responsibilities
As Foot Locker, Inc.’s PR Intern, you will be responsible for:
• Event and product pitching
• Phone and email outreach to press and influencers
• Writing press materials
• Coordinating sample requests and product pulls from various stores
• Tracking press clips
• Event planning, venue research, sourcing vendors
• Assisting the team at all events as required
Qualifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) experience
• Prior PR and/or events internship experience
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Keen attention to details
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ambitious and creative
• Excellent writing skills
• Must be working towards a degree in public relations, communications or marketing
To qualify for an internship with Foot Locker, individuals must:
• Be a junior or senior in college, or a Spring 2018 graduate
• Arrange the internship with the educational institution on a for-credit basis, if necessary.
• Schedule according to the following business hours: Summer internship hours are Monday-Friday (40 hours/week). Internships begin on June 5, 2018 and end August 18, 2018. Any exceptions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
