Intern - Champs Brand Marketing
Overview
The Brand Marketing intern will be an integral part of the marketing team – one who partners with the broader team on go-to-market strategies and social media programs that connect with consumers and helps define culture. Assist with achieving the overall brand marketing objectives and strategies. Actively facilitate marketing programs, event set-ups, in-store presentations, social media and photo shoots as needed. Additional responsibilities include management of sales promotional calendar and all weekly reporting.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage external marketing calendars to ensure alignment amongst key company stakeholders
• Collaborate with team members and social franchise owners to maximize output
• Ensure calendar alignment and efficiencies across business units
• Production tasks, including product procurement, photo shoot assistance, and purchase orders
• Provide bi-weekly reports highlighting retail, cultural, competitive landscape, and trend worthy considerations
• Act as event marketing liaison to help setup and execute events
• Immerse oneself into key market research to as act as local expert to understand and advise on the market, culture, and style trends
• Complete a TBD cumulative project leveraging key learnings from the internship experience for presentation touching upon the multiple facets of brand marketing
• Create and manage marketing reports, program recaps, etc.
• Ad hoc projects as needed
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
• Be a team member who has a positive attitude
• Career goals of becoming a best-in-class brand marketer
• Passion for sneaker culture, sports, and music
• Great partnership/communication skills within the department and across functions
• Flexible in meeting tight deadlines and has the ability to react to ‘last minute’ changes
• Working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and social media platforms needed
• Must be able to travel to local stores with own vehicle
To qualify for an internship with Footlocker.com/Eastbay, individuals must:
• Be a junior or senior in college, or a Spring 2018 graduate
• Arrange the internship with the educational institution on a for-credit basis, if necessary.
• Schedule according to the following business hours: Summer internship hours are Monday-Friday (40 hours/week). Internships begin on
June 5, 2018 and end August 18, 2018. Any exceptions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
