Responsibilities
General purpose of the position: the inventory specialist will support the senior procurement analyst with global inventory management and all merchandise purchasing needs.
Responsibilities:
• Support senior procurement analyst in seasonal merchandise purchasing for all business channels
• Utilize internal procurement database to roll up individual inputs for all channels into a global view
• Create merchandise reporting metrics for seasonal purchases
• Assist in seasonal commercial calendar creation and subsequent deadlines
• Coordinate seasonal order entry
• Act as the liaison between commercial teams and production teams
• Coordinate seasonal supply and demand meetings
• Manage and organize post market sample orders
• Database management and maintenance
• Assist in determining ship method for all purchases
• Coordinate monthly chase purchasing with the commercial teams
• Manage oversold clean up across all categories
• Assist in open to buy support for inventory management team
• Assist in providing monthly receipts to finance
• Assist in the transfers of inventory across physical & virtual warehouse to support commercial needs
• Coordinate ats report distribution, old stock communication, and systematic updates
• Support in liquidation of excess inventory across all brands, warehouses and product categories
• Assist in additional support for the global planning team
Qualifications
• Bachelors degree preferred
• 1-2 years experience preferred in planning, buying, operational role
• Strong excel and analytical skills
• Ability to work in and contribute to a collaborative team environment
• Proven problem solving skills
• Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels of the business
• Ability to multi-task
