Product Development Administration Associate - PVH Corp.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Product Development Associate (PDA) works closely with design to ensure all details of development line are executed accurately, including preparing, updating, and distributing reports on fabric, samples, trim development.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Create and update WEB PDM files for all styles being developed by designer including model details, fabrication and colorways, trims and packaging.
• Maintain WEB PDM when changes are made and communicate such changes to the appropriate teams.
• Copy original development packages and send to appropriate mills and sourcing.
• Track all prototypes, knit downs, lab dips from factories and mills to ensure development proceeds according to calendar; review delays with designer and determine alternative strategy.
• Responsible for receiving all prototypes, knit downs, handlooms, lab dips and e-mailing the designer comments.
• Track status of sales samples to ensure delivery for market week and work with sales team to ‘check in’ samples upon arrival.
• Work with merchandiser and designer to input sales’ request for additional styles/ colorways into WEB PDM after market week.
• Assist design team in making fabric cards/ presentation boards/color palettes or other selling tools for the showroom.
• Maintain color library and order colors.
• Maintain filing system of current and past fabric/style development.
• Work with design in organizing and maintaining fabric and color libraries.
• Attend fittings and stay current with prototype development.
• Prepare with design and sales teams for market weeks.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Experience:
• 0-2 years related experience.
• Retail experience desirable
Education:
Associates or BA Degree
Skills:
• Knowledge of MS Office Suite.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Ability to analyze and make decisions regarding product, samples, and production with knowledge of budget and timing impact.
• Posses a good understanding of the line development process.
• Quick study
• Action-oriented and informative.
• Good decision making and time management skills.
• Detail oriented and accurate record keeping.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Works well in a team environment.
