Responsibilities
The New Balance Lifestyle team is looking for an intern with a graphic design background and a passion for sneakers and fashion. This role has many creative elements and they will be responsible for graphic design, layout work and creating spec sheets for colors and materials.
Concept, Color and Materials
• Analyze the competitive market
• Create mood boards to convey trends, color and material forecasts
• Swatches and labels colors/materials
• Assists with photography and digital cataloging of materials
• Keeps track of excel spreadsheet of color codes
• Keep track of relevant blogs/social media/websites to help spot, support and predict trends
Design:
• Reformats Adobe Illustrator tech package files
• Creates and uploads quarterly PowerPoint line plans with images and copy
• Assists in setup for product design reviews
• Designs deck layouts for product reviews and milestone meetings
• Coordination of Global design cloud server
• Assists with sample management
• Loads files in PPM
• Keep track of calendar and sends outs weekly calendar snapshot emails
• Assists in building color CADS
Qualifications:
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
• Must be proficient in Excel
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Strong time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
