Job Description
The Regional Human Resources Director for the Western US, is primarily responsible for leading the talent initiative, including Talent and Development planning, with the General Managers and Regional Vice President while driving a culture that supports the company initiatives. The Regional Human Resources Director will work as a strategic business partner with the General Managers and Regional Vice President on key initiatives and programs, ensuring fairness and consistency in accordance with HBC policies and provincial laws. The Regional Human Resources Director is responsible for overseeing all Human Resources disciplines, including but not limited to: recruitment, training and development, associate relations, and performance management for both Saks Fifth Avenue & Saks OFF 5TH stores in their region

Responsibilities:
• Work with Talent Acquisition team to proactively recruit executive talent with partnership of both the Regional Vice President and General Managers
• Proactively, consistently, and successfully work with the store management team to identify and recruit internal and external candidates for current job openings and future job openings
• Ensure the execution of all new hire training, including orientation and service behavior training according to HBC Guidelines
• Maintain executive and associate reporting, census reporting, salary matrix, weekly, monthly and seasonal reporting
• Partner with Stores and Regional HR Team on investigations for all complaints (discrimination, harassment, wage, etc.) documents findings that arise
• Lead and develop a team of HR professionals both directly and indirectly for Saks Fifth Avenue and Saks OFF 5TH.
• Lead the annual executive performance appraisal process, providing materials and communication as directed by Corporate
Qualifications
• Bachelors degree and 5-10 Years previous Human Resources experience, preferably with multi unit responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements pertaining to all HR disciplines.
• Must possess both strong oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of computer skills to include Microsoft excel and word.
• Must be flexible to work in a fast paced, change driven environment.
• Must be willing to travel up to 60% of time with overnight travel when needed.
• HR degree or certification and asset.
