GENERAL FUNCTION
The Finance Director for neXtore is responsible for providing critical financial support for the neXtore team. The Finance Director understands and reports project results and financial forecasting/planning activities, as well as leads a team of financial associates. The Finance Director has strong analytical, data mining/report creation abilities while simultaneously understanding the overall business, and has outstanding inter-personal and communication skills to effectively participate on cross-functional projects and partners with resources throughout the organization to resolve issues and drive change.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Increases profit responsibility throughout the organization by educating neXtore employees about financial consequences of specific actions.
• Reviews project budgets (AFEs and FCEs), and performs high level analysis regarding a variety of items such as: store open delays, variances between AFE, FCE and Forecast.
• Reviews project actual results including fully understanding drivers of results, coordinates obtaining variance explanations and reviews for reasonableness, ultimately approves billable vs non billable changes.
• Ensures internal clients follow company policies particularly in regards to PO issuance and change orders.
• Leads a team of financial associates.
• Prepares monthly reports for neXtore including deep insights on drivers of projects performances.
• Reviews and approves WorkInProgress (WIP) schedule on a monthly basis.
• Reviews all other accruals and provisions to ensure monthly closing is properly completed. Submits actuals and forecasts.
• Prepares and leads periodic Management Business Reviews.
• Updates forecast on a monthly basis and ensures alignment with Retail Brands and Real Estate Finance.
• Serves as the financial partner for all departments.
• Approves payments and reviews cash forecast on a weekly basis.
• Creates ad-hoc reports as well as provides actionable key insights to improve results.
• Acts as the liaison between Accounting Shared Services and Global offices on a number of items.
• Ensures I/C flow between neXtore companies is extended to all inventory transactions and complete integration between Nextplan and SAP.
• Provides subject matter expertise to international retail groups.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 10+ years’ experience in Finance/Accounting
• Hyperion Planning and Essbase experience
• 5+ years management experience
• Creative thinker
• Analytical
• Strong communication skills with ability to influence
• Detail oriented
• Initiative
• Continuous improvement focus
• Ability to travel 25% +
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• MBA
• Experience with a retail organization
• Experience in Store Construction and/or Store Design business, or related
