Job Description
The Coordinator reports into the Senior Manager of Digital Marketing and will be a key contributor driving online sales via email, website maintenance and promotion setup, collaborating with the Marketing, Merchandising, Creative, Quality Assurance, and IT teams to deliver promotional support for omni channel initiatives. This role will be the point person to support the daily execution of marketing emails, online promotion setup, and implementation of online offers and promotions.
As business priorities shift, the Digital Marketing Coordinator must be able to react quickly to support business needs, determine daily activities, and program content while delivering to deadlines. He/She is also responsible for delivering functionality and features that ensure a great customer experience.
This is the perfect position for an amateur marketer looking to obtain expertise working with a premier retailer and an international fashion authority or for the entry-level marketer who is looking to build their skills in the digital world.
The primary goals of this role include:
• Support and communicate promotions through omni-channels; through email, on site, and full line Saks Fifth Avenue Stores, ensuring cohesive messaging throughout.
• Management of the site, mobile, app, and email process workflow including planning email calendar, ensuring timely completion of Creative Briefs, collaborating with Creative and Merchandising Operations on content, obtaining timely approvals on email content from Leadership and working with Quality Assurance to test email assets.
• Track key email metrics such as Open Rate, CTR, Circulation, $/Circ and Opt-out Rate by various segments, establishing benchmarks for each. Work closely with the broader teams to analyze findings, identify trends and recommend a course of action.
• Work closely with our email service provider to plan and launch daily emails. Help manage vendor relationship with email service provider.
• Establishing and maintaining seamless communication with cross-functional teams, adhering to approved workflow and processes, and ensuring timely and cost-effective execution of promotional content.
• Work closely with Marketing and Merchandising teams to develop features and functionality that support business initiatives, campaigns and promotions.
• Collaborate with designers, writers and management on a daily basis to solidify the vision and identify deliverables for all promotions.
• Support and communicate promotions through omni-channels; through email, site, mobile app, and full line Saks Fifth Avenue Stores.
• Analyze trends, performance and effectiveness of promotional performance, making thoughtful recommendations to management for future execution.
• Proactively resolve problems and roadblocks in order to keep work flow on schedule and escalate higher level conflicts to manager for resolution.
• Collaborate with Loyalty teams to develop features and functionality that support business initiatives, campaigns and promotions.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and critical skill-set as well as the ability to project manage several deliverables. Key requirements for this role include:
• Careful attention to detail without sacrificing deadlines. The right candidate will be able to juggle several, sometimes conflicting deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree. A focus in marketing or business is preferable.
• A background in retail and/or consumer products is preferable
• High energy – must be deadline driven, highly flexible, and a multi-tasking master.
• Fluency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• The ability to analyze large amounts of data into key insights in a timely fashion and communicate results in an organized and concise way.
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a corporate work environment with multiple stakeholders. Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must.
