Job Summary:
Benefit Cosmetics is looking for an enthusiastic Marketing Events Coordinator for the US team who will focus on a wide range of brand awareness building marketing activities. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, Business Development & Events, he/she will support Benefit Cosmetics’ US internal & for-profit Marketing events, assisting the Marketing Manager in all event aspects, end-to-end, through cross-functional collaboration and as a point person for external partners. This position requires a person who possesses a collaborative work style and excellent organizational & follow-up skills. The Marketing Events Coordinator will also exude strong communication skills, the ability to work independently, take initiative to resolve issues, and embrace the Marketing Department’s can-do attitude and spirit.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist with the planning & execution of internal conferences by providing communication to Benefit staff, supporting all conference-related events, creating thoughtful & creative collateral, and acting as on-site contact for hotel & Benefit staff.
• Act as production support for Benefit US’ for-profit marketing events & tradeshows, by sourcing Benefit freelancers & event supplies, forecasting & ordering all product for sale, keeping track of inventory & acting as on-site contact for tradeshow producers.
• Maintain & help to grow the US’ Benefit Pro Program by reviewing & approving all applications from makeup artists, tracking incoming emails daily, providing excellent customer service by promptly responding to & solving customer issues, handling logistics & communication with external vendors, keeping track of inventory & sales, tracking new artists & communicating data/learnings to the marketing manager.
• Write monthly external newsletter for the US Benefit Pro Program.
• Coordinate meeting notes & presentation decks for internal & external planning, program recaps, & competitive analysis.
• Other responsibilities include but are not limited to, additional administrative tasks as needed, travel coordination, invoicing, site visits, and arts & crafts.
Qualifications:
• Organized with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills
• Sees projects to their completion, meets deadlines & manages time efficiently
• Excellent attention to detail & quality
• Must be enthusiastic, motivated, responsible & have a sense of humor
• Passion & knowledge of the beauty space a plus
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 1-2 years of marketing, event management, or administrative experience
• Ability to travel often
Technology & Software Knowledge:
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, PowerPoint, Word
