As our East Nike Direct Brand Director, you'll join an exciting team dedicated to developing and implementing Nike brand initiatives and sport moments to the consumer at Nike Direct. You will lead holistic Nike Direct strategies including an omnichannel approach and drive consumer traffic by delivering premium consumer experiences. You'll execute on the brand strategy and manage all details of program execution, including consumer activations, sport moments, shopping events, product seeding and inspiring our in-store team. In addition, you'll be a brand champion, nurture internal and external cohesion.
Accountabilities:
• Define the positioning and the role that each of our Nike Direct doors(Nike Soho, NTNY, Nike Flatiron, 21Mercer, Nike UES) will play in their neighborhoods and with their consumers and community
• Lead the future vision and strategy of Nike Direct flagships in partnership with NYC leadership, Global and Geo teams
• Create process for consumer insight generation, consumer shopping habits and future retail trends to identify new opportunities for reaching our consumers and thus position our Nike Direct doors to be able to respond to the ever changing marketplace
• Develop an omnichannel strategy and approach to reach our consumers via our B&M doors and online
• Partner with teams across product creation and merchandising to identify opportunities specific for Nike Direct
• Elevate Nike Direct Brand in NYC and the East Coast by developing consumer events and activations that drives premium brand experiences for our consumers instore
• Work cross functionally with Category Brand teams, Retail Brand and Visual Presentation, Nike Direct Store Operations and Merchandising to ensure a seamless execution at retail upon launch
• Provide NYC specific insights into the briefing process to enhance the overall planning and execution.
• Communicate consumer and marketplace needs and insights to North America
• Communicate successes and share learnings to further enhance our use of best practices
• Monitor territory execution, facilitate feedback process with Geo team and provide recaps
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field
• Minimum 10 years' experience in brand marketing, events and retail brand.
• Additional 5 years experience in lieu of degree
• Confident knowledge of Nike and the respective consumer culture
• Strong verbal and written communication skills including meeting facilitation skills and the confidence to give presentations
• Ability to create effective and scalable retail strategies
• Cross-functional integrated marketing experience, strong background in Omni-Channel approach.
• Experience in developing marketing and event plans.
• Ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives
• Ability to understand challenges or underlying concerns, share ideas and develop effective responses or elevate to higher management
• Retail experience is preferred
