External Job Description
Role Overview:
The Director of Ecommerce Strategy reports to the Vice President of Ecommerce & Technology Strategy and leads the development and delivery of the online merchandising and marketing strategy for the segment (includes Lane Bryant and Catherines). This role will drive the cross-functional process to define and communicate the creative content, promotional strategy, and any user experience needs to deliver the online revenue and margin targets for the segment. The Director of Ecommerce Strategy also is responsible for leading the digital analytics team and providing the segment with key performance indicators and customer insight to optimize website performance, customer experience, and conversion.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborating with cross-functional partners including Marketing, Merchandising and Planning to build an ecommerce strategy that delivers the channel revenue plan, while supporting and elevating the key product and marketing strategies.
• Defining and executing the strategy to build customer engagement with the website by optimizing user experience and customer insights.
• Using analytics to analyze and define decision-making. Collaborating with team leads to define data gathering and information reporting that will drive results.
• Synthesizing customer and business insights, and input from cross-functional teams to partner in the development of digital solutions deliverables
• Helps define and influence the long-term analytics roadmap.
• Continuous optimization of the website to drive greater traffic, conversion and revenue.
Requirements
Experience:
• 8+ years Ecommerce experience in ecommerce/retail environment.
• Ability to develop strong cross functional partnerships.
• Proven ability to effectively influence to drive solutions.
• Excellent communication and organization skills.
• Ability to think strategically and provide critical analysis and risk assessment.
• Strong organizational skills and project management capability.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects of various types and to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Knowledge of ATG, Omniture analytics, Endeca, Certona a plus.
